At this time, you cannot generate an executable with perl.
I would love to do "gcc -o simulator *.o -lperl"
(I know it's comming ...)
I've not worked with Windows and Mac versions of Icon, but
I guess it is nicer than perl for Windows (DOS) and Mac.
Having said that, it's easier for me to write a perl script than
writing an Icon program. Dunno why, maybe perl is more UNIXy :-)
